Stopped by this gem on a whim while driving from Roswell to Durango. We didn't expect much, as rural New Mexico isn't exactly known for its culinary faire. I got the daily special shrimp po boy and my fiancée got the green chile chicken enchiladas. I didn't have high hopes for the po boy... But wow was I mistaken!! It was the best I've ever had! Great bread, crispy romaine, flavorful tomatoes, perfectly fried shrimp and the best sauce! My fiancée devoured his enchiladas and was literally gushing about the smoked chicken and amazing sauce in the car ride. The waitress was friendly and attentive in a matter-of-fact kind of way and you could tell she was proud of the food she was serving. And the wait for the food was only about ten minutes. The cashier/drive through window lady was also friendly and even pointed us in the direction of some interesting local historic ruins that we visited afterward. The ambiance was chill and prices were reasonable. We were able to both eat for $20. Drawbacks are that the kitchen is only open til 2:15 pm and the dining room only has space for about 20 people...but you can also order ahead and take out or drive through. Overall, we were impressed by this rural find!

We eat at this little cafe semi-regularly and have never been disappointed. We always eat lunch but based on the reviews we should try breakfast. Today my husband said it was the best brisket plate lunch he had ever had, with sliced brisket, potato salad, and slaw. That is a statement not to be ignored from a Texan who knows his BBQ. My green chile cheeseburger was yummy as usual. We have previously enjoyed mexican food, quiche, and green chile soups. I am amazed that I often meet people who live within a mile of the cafe who have never eaten there; they have no clue what they are missing. There are 6 4-tops and one community table that seats 6, so it can get busy. Give it a shot, you won't regret it.

The dry breakfast burrito is the perfect hangover remedy and the fact that they have a drive-through makes it even sweeter. Im also a huge fan of their bbq. Shout out to the cook! The only reason I'm giving only 4 stars is that they are a little pricey but I understand because it takes money to run a quality restaurant in the country.

THE. BEST. BREAKFAST. BURRITO. EVA! The best reason for staying in Eldorado is the ability to eat at Blue Moon. Not open on Sundays and Holidays but give it a try. Lovely local joint.

Sad tasteless food. I ordered a breakfast burrito please hold the eggs and no meat. Inside I asked for potatoes, beans, cheese and red and green. Igot what I ordered but the beans were undercooked the potatoes were without seasoning and the cheese was rather skimpy. The red and green were both without any pizzazz what so ever .... The chef is clearly relying on the meat do do his flavoring... spices and herbs might apply elsewhere... clearly they are not to be found in this kitchen.

Kind of small but very very VERY good! Great service and even greater food!! Came all the way from Montana and was not disappointed in the food or service ! I had the green chile chicken enchaladas and the black angus burger was absolutely delicious!!!!!

We stopped at this little spot because it had good reciews, and was close to our location. We decided to play it safe and get burgers. I had the mushroom and swiss, hubby had the patty melt. The menu boasts all natural, angus burgers. So do the reviews. Sadly, I'm fairly certain that isn't what we just ate. Both burgers tasted like the premade variety you can find awesome places- like Walmart. No flavor, very greasy, and just overall not good. The fries are the precut frozen type, flavorless and bland. It was unbearably hot inside this place- no ac. The windows and doors were open... Which was perfect to let in the lovely fumes from the gas station next door. Our server wasn't on top of things, friendly, or very helpful. For such a small place, the bathroom was not as clean as one would expect. There is a grimy buildup on the sink handles, dirt on the floors, and it appears that the toilet leaks. Other people may like this place, but we will not be back.

Blue moon is a mom and pop place in El Dorado. It's literally run by an older married couple and they are very nice. I can't speak for there whole menu because every time I go, I go for breakfast and get a sausage and green handheld breakfast burrito. It's the only place I ever get sausage because I hate breakfast sausage but theres is delicious. It's definitely worth stoping in if you're driving by. I do every time I'm back from college.

Awesome Burgers, fresh angus beef perfectly cooked. Just classic and tasty. Green chili cheese burger was full of flavor and spice. They smoke their own brisket here, so I had to try a sandwich after my burger so I ordered one for the table to share it was super smokey and tender. Definitely worth the drive out that way. The shop owner was super sweet and gave me an iced tea to go for free. I happen to be addicted to iced tea so that was fantastic. I wish them much business in the future.

Super cute little cafe. The people are so nice. I ate the soup of the day green chili chicken. So fresh, homemade and amazing. Seemed like a locals place and I am glad to have stopped in!!!
